Taking a photograph isn't that difficult, but it's in creating an image capturing a moment and memory that lies the challenge and where the artist becomes exposed revealing a glimpse of their spirit.
My all time absolute favorite subject to photograph... girls and their ponies. Each of these girls have spent years learning their riding and horse management skills. They are able to guide these beautiful 1000+ lb 'ponies' over jumps both in an arena and on a cross country field, take a quick break and then guide them through an intricate dressage pattern. Their dedication to their ponies and their sport is inspiring.
Buhl is a small town and I've had the pleasure of watching Natalie and her sisters and brother grow up. As with most the girls in Buhl she is bright, busy and beautiful and they are fun to photograph!
A beautiful and talented senior girl on a spring day in Idaho. Seems like she got more than her fair share when it comes to musical abilities. I sure hope she continues to find ways to share her talents with the rest of us!
I am frequently amazed by the talent that lies in people that surround us. I've come to know Jackson over the years and have enjoyed his talent as a musician. It was just this year I learned of his talents as an author! Jackson is a published author and writes in a variety of genres ~ his publisher contacted him asking for some head shots for his book jackets and we went and spent some time in old town getting just the right image. I think we did pretty well.
It's hard to describe just how much pleasure it gives a photographer to show a person just how amazingly beautiful they are! This was one of those sessions where there was no such thing as a bad picture.
